There once was a lake

Dryer than normal summers for the past two years have caused many small lakes in Hernando County to temporarily vanish. These photos were taken on December 25th, 2007 while the setting sun highlighted the lakebed. Hopefully the summer rains of 2008 will once again bring life back to this lake and the return of small boats and marine life will flourish once more.
